About the School Director
Joseph Kyle Rogan
Mr. Rogan is a licensed teacher with a K-12 endorsement in Theatre. He holds a BFA in Acting and Theatre Education from the University of Utah, and an MEd in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University. He has taught theatre for the Salt Lake City School District since 2004, and is currently the Theatre Specialist for Wasatch Elementary, as part of the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program. Over the years, Mr. Rogan has taught and directed productions for a variety of private youth theatre education programs, including Youth Theatre at the University of Utah, The Children's Theatre of Salt Lake, the Egyptian Theatre, and Improvisational Teen Theatre Training. For adults, Mr. Rogan has taught and administered a wide array of workshops in improvisational acting for private groups and improv festivals throughout the United States (including the US Virgin Isles). In addition to his extensive work in a variety of theatrical art forms, Mr. Rogan has also studied the film making process, as part of Spy Hop's Interactive Digital Education Academy.
